Postgraduate Certificate in River Restoration and Management

Charles Sturt University developed this one-year part-time distance education course in collaboration with Land and Water Australia.

The Postgraduate Certificate in River Restoration and Management aims to meet the needs of waterway managers in Australia and will provide students with a sound theoretical background and extensive practical experience. Students will learn about prioritisation, design, implementation and evaluation of river restoration projects.

The two subjects undertaken in Semester 1 establish a background in river geomorphology, hydrology and ecology, providing a context for the restoration and water policy and management subjects undertaken in Semester 2. All subjects include a compulsory Residential School that are an integral component of this course.
